CITAGLOBAL Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Lampung Provincial Government in Indonesia to assess the feasibility of developing green infrastructure projects, including waste-to-energy, biomass and solar power initiatives.
The group said the collaboration will involve joint feasibility studies to evaluate the technical and commercial viability of the proposed projects, with Citaglobal granted a first right to negotiate should the developments prove viable.
Any potential projects will be structured based on appropriate commercial models and financing frameworks to ensure bankability and disciplined execution.
Citaglobal executive chairman and president Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria said the focus is on properly structuring opportunities rather than simply identifying them, with Lampung providing a practical environment to test the group’s capabilities in waste and clean energy solutions.
Lampung governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal said the province welcomes credible partners to support its transition towards green energy, particularly in waste management, biomass and solar power development.
Citaglobal said the initiative aligns with its selective regional expansion strategy, while Malaysia remains its core market.
It added that Lampung’s large population and agricultural base provide significant feedstock potential for waste-to-energy and biomass applications, supporting the province’s broader clean energy ambitions. –TMR
