KUALA LUMPUR — The ASEAN Online Sales Day (AOSD) 2025, an annual region-wide online shopping campaign, will take place from August 8 to 10, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) said.
In a statement, MATRADE said the event brings together leading e-commerce platforms, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and consumers from all ten ASEAN member states, underscoring the region’s commitment to building a dynamic digital economy.
“AOSD offers SMEs a unique platform to showcase products, boost their digital presence and connect with ASEAN’s 660 million consumers.
“From food producers and textile makers to emerging tech brands, businesses will benefit from greater visibility and access through one of the region’s most anticipated digital campaigns,” it said.
MATRADE deputy chief executive officer (exporters development), Mansor Shah Wahid, said AOSD is more than a sales event — it is a testament to regional solidarity and the potential of a unified digital market.
“As ASEAN Task Force Chair for 2025, the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and MATRADE remain committed to helping SMEs embrace digitalisation, expand their online footprint and thrive in the digital economy,” he said.
According to MATRADE, consumers in Malaysia and across ASEAN can expect exclusive discounts and promotions from participating e-commerce platforms and webstores, all carrying the AOSD branding to help identify genuine offers.
The campaign will also showcase a diverse range of products from across the region, including Malaysia, reflecting ASEAN’s creativity, talent and entrepreneurial drive.
“Look out for the AOSD logo on your favourite e-commerce platforms to unlock exclusive deals and support ASEAN’s growing digital economy,” it added. — BERNAMA
