WAWASAN Dengkil Holdings Bhd has secured a RM44.76 million contract for the procurement, construction and commissioning (PCC) of fibre optic infrastructure in the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said its wholly owned subsidiary, Wawasan Dengkil Sdn Bhd (WDSB), accepted a letter of award (LOA) dated June 25, 2025 from PG LinkaranFiber Sdn Bhd (Linkaran).
The job will be undertaken via a consortium with Twin Hi-Technologies Sdn Bhd.
The project is scheduled to commence from June 25, 2025, and will span 19 months until the issuance of the final acceptance certificate.
A 12-month defect liability period will follow the project’s completion.
Wawasan said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings, net assets per share and gearing over the duration of the works, though it will not impact share capital or shareholding structure.
WDSB is primarily involved in construction, earthworks, and civil engineering services, while Linkaran operates as a network infrastructure and telecommunications service provider. — TMR
