Sheila On 7 is a shared memory, generational anthem

LEGENDARY Indonesian band Sheila On 7 is set to make its long-awaited return to Malaysia after a seven-year hiatus, joining the Phase 2 lineup of the iconic Latihan Pestapora concert this July 26.
Now scheduled to take place at a newly announced venue — Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil — the Phase 2 lineup also features Nadin Amizah and ALVN. Anticipating overwhelming demand, organiser Hitman Solutions selected the larger stadium venue to accommodate even more fans for what promises to be an unforgettable, stadium-scale experience.
Previously, the concert was announced to be held at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach.
Hitman Group CEO and founder Rohit Rampal described Sheila On 7 as more than just a band, calling them “a shared memory, a generational anthem.”
“The band’s return to Malaysia is more than a performance; it’s a cultural moment. With Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil as the new venue, we are ready to etch this event into the history of live music festivals in Malaysia.”
Pestapora Festival director and Boss Creator co-founder Kiki Ucop said the event’s emphasis on unity and musical celebration. “Bringing the spirit of Pestapora to Malaysia is a natural next step for us. With Sheila on 7, Nadin Amizah and ALVN added to the lineup, we hope to further unite the two nations in one vibrant, love-filled, music-powered experience.”
Organised by Hitman Solutions and Boss Creator, the original team behind Jakarta’s iconic Pestapora festival, this Malaysian edition brings the true spirit of Nusantara music to life like never before.
Phase 2 tickets went on sale on June 9, 2025, 12pm at www.latihanpestaporamalaysia.com. This follows the successful closure of Phase 1 sales, which saw thousands of fans securing in their spots even before the full lineup was revealed.
Phase 2 tickets are offered in four categories with Rockzone (free standing) RM299, General Admission — GA (free standing) RM249 and two new categories that are Category 1 (numbered seat) RM399 and Category 2 (numbered seat) at RM189.
The Phase 1 lineup also boasts a powerhouse of talent from both Malaysia and Indonesia, including fan favourites Feast, Hindia, Pamungkas, Feel Koplo, Bittersweet, Bunkface, Dolla, and more — setting the stage for a truly cross-cultural musical celebration.
The main Pestapora 2025 festival will take place from Sept 5-7 with the exact venue yet to be announced. The iconic annual event typically takes place at various locations across Jakarta, Indonesia.
