KUALA LUMPUR — The Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia has appointed Public Service Department Director-General Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz as chairman effective May 15.
In a statement today, SEDA said it welcomes Wan Ahmad Dahlan’s leadership in driving the national sustainable energy agenda and achieving the 70 per cent targeted renewable energy capacity mix by 2050.
He has been serving as a SEDA member since August 2024.
He brings over 30 years of extensive experience in public service, having previously held positions such as Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja at Istana Negara, Home Affairs Ministry Secretary-General and Director-General of the Implementation Coordination Unit in the Prime Minister’s Department.
He also served in several agencies under the Transport and Home Affairs Ministries.
Wan Ahmad Dahlan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Honours) from Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia, and a Master’s degree in Strategic and Defence Studies from Universiti Malaya.
SEDA also extended its gratitude to Ahmad Zairin Ismail for his contributions and dedicated service during his tenure as the previous SEDA chairman. — BERNAMA
