SCIENTEX Bhd’s third quarter net profit fell 5% year-on-year to RM123.9 million due to weaker performance in its packaging division, despite stronger property earnings.
Revenue for the quarter ended April 30, 2025 (3Q25) was flat at RM1.11 billion.
The group declared a 6 sen interim dividend, payable on July 18.
Packaging revenue dropped 6.4% amid soft export demand and forex pressures, while property revenue rose 9.9% on stronger progress billings and new launches, including strong demand for its Scientex Pulai 3 project in Johor.
For the nine-month period, net profit declined 5.3% to RM376.4 million, with revenue slightly higher at RM3.32 billion. — TMR
