KEY ASIC Bhd has unveiled Synexis, an AI + IoT system-on-chip (SoC) platform designed to enable real-time artificial intelligence processing at the edge, while offering seamless cloud connectivity.
The company said Synexis integrates AI processors, neural network engines, and low-power wireless connectivity – including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy – into a single chip architecture optimised for advanced process nodes of 5nm and below.
“With this AI + IoT SoC platform, we’re equipping innovators with the tools to deliver intelligent, connected experiences at the edge,” said chairman and CEO Eg Kah Yee.
Targeted applications include industrial automation, healthcare, smart homes, wearables and environmental monitoring.
The company expects the platform to help OEMs and solution providers shorten development cycles and reduce system complexity.
Key ASIC said it holds over 10 patents related to IoT technologies.
Early access kits will be available to selected partners in the third quarter of 2025, with full commercial release scheduled for early 2026. — TMR
