JAYCORP Bhd posted a net loss of RM2.22 million for its third quarter ended April 30, 2025 (3Q25), versus a net profit of RM3.47 million a year earlier, weighed down by softer furniture demand and adverse forex rates.
In a filing today, the group said revenue fell 24.2% to RM36.85 million.
Operating loss stood at RM1.88 million, compared to an operating profit of RM4.99 million a year earlier.
Despite the weaker results, Jaycorp declared a first interim dividend of 1.5 sen per share, payable on July 30.
For the nine-month period, cumulative net profit dropped 70.7% to RM3.92 million, while revenue slipped 13.3% to RM131.49 million.
Jaycorp cautioned that rising labour, raw material, electricity and EPF costs will pressure margins, but said it remains focused on cost controls, market expansion and product development.
The stock closed unchanged at 58.5 sen today, giving it a market value of RM160 million. — TMR
