THE government has chosen “Malaysia Madani: Rakyat Disantuni” as the official theme for National Day and Malaysia Day 2025 (HKHM2025), with the existing logo mantained until 2027.
Communications Minister and HKHM2025 Main Committee chairman Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the theme reflects the administration’s commitment to prioritising the wellbeing of the people.
“The Madani concept, inspired by the prime minister (PM), emphasises holistic and balanced development, integrating material progress and spiritual values, while strengthening economic growth, governance integrity and national unity,” he said during the ministry’s weekly press conference on June 11.
Fahmi added that the theme’s focus on “Rakyat Disantuni” highlights the government’s approach to placing the rakyat at the centre of its development agenda.
The National Month celebrations will begin with the launch of the “Bulan Kebangsaan dan Kibarkan Jalur Gemilang 2025” campaign on July 27 in Johor.
This will be followed by the National Day parade on Aug 31 in Putrajaya and the Malaysia Day celebration on Sept 16 in Penang.
To ignite patriotism across the country, a series of programmes and initiatives will be held, including Quran Hour, Merdeka Countdown, 1Rumah 1Jalur Gemilang, Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang, Kenegaraan@Kelab Malaysiaku, Pentarama Merdeka@Hoho, Merdeka open-air cinema and Riuh Merdeka.
The official Merdeka360 portal (https://www.merdeka360.my/web/), developed to promote HKHM2025, has been refreshed with a new event calendar feature listing nationwide activities by ministries, states and districts.
The portal also provides comprehensive information on the use of the official logo and other guidelines related to HKHM2025.
