AZAM Jaya Bhd has accepted a letter of award (LOA) from the Ministry of Transport Malaysia for the proposed upgrading works at Tawau Airport, Sabah.
The RM120.92 million contract was awarded to its wholly owned subsidiary, Pembinaan Azam Jaya Sdn Bhd.
The contract will span 156 weeks, commencing on Aug 22, 2025, and is scheduled for completion by Aug 21, 2028.
Azam Jaya said the contract is expected to contribute positively to its earnings and net assets per share from the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025, onwards.
Its board stated that the contract is in the ordinary course of business and in the best interest of the company. — TMR
