
SAMAIDEN Group Bhd’s subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM100.75 million contract from GVU Fajar Timur Sdn Bhd to undertake the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of a 27.6MW alternating current large-scale solar photovoltaic (LSSPV) power plant in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.
Approved under the Large Scale Solar 5 (LSS5) programme by Suruhanjaya Tenaga in December 2024, the project marks a key milestone in Samaiden’s renewable energy portfolio.
Its group MD Datuk Chow Pui Hee highlighted the company’s technical expertise and commitment to Malaysia’s clean energy goals.
On-site works will begin after contractual conditions are met, with commercial operations targeted for July 24, 2027. — TMR
