ICT distributor, Vstecs Bhd, has entered into a partnership with Skyvast Data Sdn Bhd to accelerate the distribution and adoption of sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and solutions nationwide.
The collaboration, formalised through a memorandum of collaboration (MoC) between Vstecs’ wholly owned subsidiary, Vstecs Pericomp Sdn Bhd, and Skyvast.
Under the agreement, Vstecs will serve as Skyvast’s national distribution partner, enabling wider access to AI solutions such as GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS), AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS), and bespoke AI offerings.
Skyvast, known for developing AI-ready data centres and managing high-performance AI servers, will work with Vstecs to commercialise and deliver scalable AI solutions across key industries — including education, finance, smart cities, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Skyvast CEO Lim Chee Siong said the collaboration with Vstecs is a key step in delivering its sovereign AI capabilities at scale.
“With Vstecs’s deep market knowledge, expansive channel network, and strong footprint across enterprise and government sectors, we are confident in our ability to accelerate AI adoption and empower more Malaysian organisations to thrive in the AI era,” Lim said.
Both companies will co-develop packaged AI solutions tailored to local needs, aiming to lower barriers to adoption while fostering innovation and competitiveness in Malaysia’s digital economy. — TMR
