Zamil Steel appoints Malkit Singh as country manager for Malaysia

ZAMIL Steel Buildings Vietnam Co Ltd (ZSBV) has appointed Malkit Singh as the country manager for Malaysia.

The company specialises in the design, fabrication and supply of pre-engineered steel buildings and steel structures for industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects across Vietnam and internationally.

In his new role, Malkit will oversee Zamil Steel’s operations in Malaysia, including market development and client relationship management.

Malkit has been tasked with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand Zamil Steel’s client base, and increase its market share.

He will also examine the company’s strategic growth to solidify Zamil Steel’s position as a preferred steel structure fabricator in Malaysia, the company said in a statement emailed to The Malaysian Reserve.

Zamil Steel said it will provide dedicated local support and expertise to clients, ensuring seamless project execution and optimal outcomes.

“Malkit’s proven leadership and profound knowledge of the Malaysian market will be instrumental as we look to deepen our commitment to our Malaysian clients and partners,” Zamil Steel Vietnam general director Swain Ajaya Kumar said in the statement.

ZSBV, a subsidiary of the renowned Saudi Arabian steel structure manufacturer Zamil Steel Holding Company, is wholly owned by Zamil Industrial Investment Company (ZIIC), headquartered in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

ZSBV runs two state-of-the-art factories with a total capacity of 120,000 MT of steel buildings per year.

The team has grown to over 1,000 staff and workers and has successfully expanded its sales network to 10 Southeast Asia countries and Bangladesh, according to its website.

Previously, Malkit served more than nine years as a manager at Poratha Corp, a Malaysian-based company involved in mechanical engineering, construction and maintenance works for oil and gas as well as power generation sectors.

As the new country manager, ZSBV said Malkit will be its primary point of contact for all inquiries to ensure clear and efficient communication throughout project lifecycles in the Malaysian region.

He will also ensure Zamil Steel provides clients with the best tailored steel structure solutions that meet local standards and demands in terms of budget and functionality. –TMR
