KUALA LUMPUR — Cypark Resources Bhd today announced the appointment of Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar (picture) as its independent non-executive director and chairman of the board effective June 9, 2025
The renewable energy company said in a statement today that Abdul Wahid’s appointment coincides with Datuk Hamidah Moris transitioning her role from chairman to group managing director.
To support Cypark’s growing technical ambitions, Datuk Dr Gue See Sew has been appointed as independent non-executive director, also effective June 9.
The company said these changes reflect the board’s strategic direction to strengthen independent oversight while empowering proven executive leadership.
“The separation of the chairman and managing director roles ensures a high standard of governance, transparency and accountability, in line with best practices for Bursa Malaysia listed companies,” it added. — BERNAMA
