JF Technology Bhd has acquired an 80% stake in Singapore-based probe card manufacturer Q3 Probe Pte Ltd for US$1.36 million (RM6 million) via its subsidiary, JF International Sdn Bhd.
The deal, completed with US-based parent Spire Manufacturing Inc, includes an option for JF Technology to acquire the remaining 20% by end-2027.
The acquisition is part of a three-year performance-based earn-out agreement worth US$272,010 (RM1.2 million) and aims to strengthen JF Technology’s vertical integration within the semiconductor value chain.
Q3’s expertise in front-end wafer testing complements JF Technology’s test engineering business, enhancing its global competitiveness.
The group plans to manufacture Q3’s products in Malaysia for its 200+ multinational clients, positioning itself as the only Malaysian company offering a full-range probe card solution across front-end and back-end semiconductor testing. — TMR
