Bina Puri unit faces RM155,000 winding-up petition

BINA Puri Holdings Bhd (BPHB) said that its wholly owned subsidiary, Bina Puri Properties Sdn Bhd (BPPSB), has become aware of a winding-up petition filed by Peragash Subramaniam over an alleged debt of RM155,075.51.

The petition, dated May 20, 2025, has not yet been officially served on BPPSB or the company, and BPHB only learned of it through a newspaper advertisement in a local English daily.

BPPSB is seeking legal advice and plans to oppose the petition.

The subsidiary is not classified as a major unit under Bursa Malaysia’s listing requirements, and BPHB stated there will be no immediate financial or operational impact on the group.

The hearing is scheduled for June 19, 2025. — TMR
