UEM Sunrise Bhd posted a 150.5% jump in net profit to RM20.49 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2025, from RM8.18 million a year earlier, supported by an 85.7% rise in revenue to RM417.63 million and an 8% decline in finance costs.
The growth was driven by ongoing projects in Iskandar Puteri, Semenyih, and Mont’Kiara.
The group targets RM1.5 billion in new launches and RM1.05 billion in sales this year.
Unbilled sales rose to RM3.02 billion, ensuring revenue visibility over the next 18 to 36 months.
On its industrial front, UEM Sunrise is preparing infrastructure works ahead of the Local Plan’s final gazettement by early 2026.
Internationally, the company will launch its first Australian project—a mixed-use residential development in Subiaco East, Perth—in the second half of 2025. — TMR
