
KUALA LUMPUR — The Kuala Lumpur Declaration is set to be launched in conjunction with the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), from May 26 to 27.
Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil (picture) said that the contents of the document will be shared with the media following its official launch.
“The Foreign Ministry, together with the ASEAN 2025 Secretariat, will ensure that the media receive documents contained in the declaration,” he said at a weekly press conference, here, today.
Earlier, Fahmi, who also the spokesperson for the MADANI Government, inspected the 46th ASEAN Summit International Media Centre (IMC) at KLCC.
According to the official ASEAN 2025 website, the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 is scheduled to be signed and launched on May 26, in conjunction with the 46th ASEAN Summit.
Malaysia, as the chair and host of ASEAN 2025, will host the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits from May 26 to 27.
In conjunction with the summit, two key high-level meetings – the 2nd ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit and the ASEAN-GCC-China Summit — will also take place, marking an important platform for expanded regional and inter-regional cooperation. — BERNAMA
