SPORTS Toto Bhd reported a 54.3% year-on-year jump in net profit to RM105.66 million for its third quarter ended March 31, 2025, driven by strong demand for its Supreme Toto 6/58 jackpot.
Quarterly revenue reached a record RM1.91 billion, up 12.54% from RM1.69 billion a year earlier.
The boost in earnings was attributed to higher revenue and lower prize payouts from its NFO unit STM Lottery Sdn Bhd, despite the same number of draws as last year.
A third interim dividend of 2 sen per share will be paid on July 18.
For the first nine months of FY2025, net profit rose 28.7% to RM196.67 million, with revenue up 3.7% to RM4.83 billion.
Looking ahead, the group expects continued growth in per-draw sales amid strong consumer interest, while expressing concern over the rise of illegal operators in underserved regions like Kedah and Perlis. —TMR
