KUMPULAN Jetson Bhd has received a formal notice from minority shareholders representing over 10% of voting rights to call for an EGM on June 18, 2025.
The EGM will consider resolutions to remove the current board of directors — including chairman Tunku Nooruddin Tunku Shahabuddin and executive director Edward Ng Kah Jiun — and to appoint five new directors nominated by the shareholders.
The requisitionists have also requested the company’s Record of Depositors as of May 19, 2025, to facilitate the meeting.
Kumpulan Jetson is currently seeking legal advice regarding the requisition.
This latest move is the most recent in a series of attempts by minority shareholders to overhaul the company’s board amid ongoing governance disputes. — TMR
