NEW YORK, May 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Levy Konigsberg has filed a lawsuit on behalf of six survivors of sexual abuse against Youth Consultation Service, which operates Holley Child Care and Development Center and other residential treatment facilities throughout New Jersey alleging that Youth Consultation Service and the State of New Jersey failed to protect children from rampant sexual abuse perpetrated by adult employees at Youth Consultation Service’s Residential Treatment Centers. The lawsuit, brought on behalf of six men and women who were abused as children at Youth Consultation Service’s Residential Treatment Centers, is the latest in a string of residential treatment center sex abuse lawsuits spearheaded by Levy Konigsberg.
Despite the widespread and well-known sexual abuse of children at Holley Child Care and Development Center and other residential treatment facilities operated by Youth Consultation Service, little has been done to protect these children or to punish their abusers. It is this pattern of negligence on the part of Youth Consultation Service and the State of New Jersey that has prompted the filing of these lawsuits. The shocking negligence in Youth Consultation Service’s failure to stop the sexual abuse of children at their residential treatment centers is detailed in the complaint that was filed this week.
In announcing today’s lawsuit, Levy Konigsberg Partner Madeleine Skaller stated:
“As children, our clients were placed at Youth Consultation Service’s residential treatment facilities when they were vulnerable and in need of supportive, therapeutic services. Instead, they were sexually abused by the very people responsible for their care and treatment. When the State of New Jersey places at-risk children, many with special needs, at residential treatment facilities that enable the sexual abuse of these children, the State and the residential treatment facilities must be held accountable. These lawsuits brought by courageous survivors seek justice for the many years of rampant and systematic sexual abuse inflicted on children at Youth Consultation Service’s residential treatment facilities that likely continues to this day.”
Levy Konigsberg has filed hundreds of lawsuits on behalf of survivors of sexual abuse nationwide and is at the forefront of litigation in New York, Maryland, New Jersey, Illinois, and other states.
Levy Konigsberg represents hundreds of survivors of child sexual abuse at New Jersey’s residential treatment centers and plans to continue fighting tirelessly on their behalf.
