SENTORIA Group Bhd said that its external auditor, Messrs Kreston John & Gan, issued a disclaimer of opinion on the group’s audited financial statements for the 15-month period ended Dec 31, 2024, citing insufficient audit evidence.
The auditor also raised concerns over material uncertainties regarding the company’s ability to continue as a going concern.
The disclaimer is attributed to a significant net loss of RM96.9 million and the group’s current liabilities exceeding its assets by RM600.41 million, alongside a breach of financial covenants in its debt restructuring agreements.
Sentoria, classified as a Practice Note 17 (PN17) company, has been given seven months to submit a regularisation plan to Bursa Malaysia.
Additionally, three wholly owned subsidiaries were placed under receivership in April 2025.
Sentoria’s shares, which have been suspended since May 9, will resume trading on May 14 following the submission of the company’s annual report. — TMR
