PETRONAS Dagangan Bhd and Blueshark Ecosystem Sdn Bhd have deepened their collaboration by forming a joint venture company, Blueshark Malaysia Sdn Bhd, to accelerate the adoption of electric two-wheelers (2W-EVs) and energy solutions in Malaysia, supporting the National Energy Transition Roadmap.
The JV will serve as the exclusive distributor of Blueshark-branded 2W-EVs, including the Soloera model, and operate battery-swapping stations at selected Petronas stations in the Klang Valley, Penang, and Johor, with plans to expand nationally.
To scale production, EP Blueshark Sdn Bhd, a unit of EP Manufacturing Bhd, has been appointed as the local assembler, while Sharkgulf Technologies Group Ltd, the original EV platform developer, will supply core tech and systems.
The collaboration combines Petronas Dagangan’s retail network, BESB’s product expertise, STGL’s technology, and EPMB’s manufacturing capabilities to build a robust and future-ready electric mobility ecosystem in Malaysia. — TMR
